On June 30, 2023, the Commission met to review Anaheim University’s (AU) application for renewal of accreditation. 

The Commission expressed concern with respect to AU’s compliance with DEAC Accreditation Standards I.B, II.A, III.D, III.J, V.A, VII.C, X.A, XI.A, XI.C, XI.D and DEAC Procedures under Part Two, Section XVIII: In-Residence Component.  

The Commission therefore voted to direct AU to show cause as to why its accreditation should not be withdrawn and to require AU to undergo a special visit by a team of DEAC evaluators. More information is available on DEAC’s Institutions on Show Cause web page under Public Notices. 

AU is required to provide DEAC with a Teach Out Plan and Teach Out Agreement in accordance with Section XXI.C, Processes and Procedures, DEAC Accreditation Handbook. 

At the June 21, 2024 meeting the Commission voted to continue the Show Cause directive.
